Heritage Property Corp. plans to replace old building along the 7th avenue with new high tech buildings that will include a new type of parkade, an office tower and retail shops.
The block is located on the corner of Centre Street and 7th avenue SW, and currently theses buildings are almost vacant. This corner had an important historic play in Calgary’s past with the Calgary Stock Exchange and others block with cultural importance.
Instead of tearing down the old buildings, Heritage Property will revamp the old one in order to keep the historical heritage of the site. The first phase of the plan includes the construction of the new high-tech parking structure and the heritage building for 30 millions.
With this parking, you will drive your car into one of the 6 elevators, get out, pay and your car will be transported to his spot into the 360 space parking over 8 levels. With the prices of parking in Downtown Calgary, I have no worries this project will be viable…
